Dear Parents and Carers
In the past 24 hours the school has been made aware of two positive cases of Covid-19 within our Year 8 bubble. We have been working hard throughout today to identify close contacts, however, we have decided that to minimise any risk to the wider year group that we will unfortunately need to close our Year 8 bubble tomorrow, Monday 30th November so that we can fully investigate each case and the close contacts of the students and take further advice from Public Health England. Year 8 students will therefore need to remain at home tomorrow and not come into school.
We will contact those deemed to be close contacts during the course of tomorrow morning and I will write to all parents and carers later on tomorrow to confirm next steps.
We would like all Year 8 students to access their lessons live at home via Google Classroom. They can do this on any internet enabled device such as a tablet, phone or computer. âWe will send Year 8 parents and carers a further email this evening with details of this
Should you have any concerns, please do contact the Year Team in the first instance.
I apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause you, but hope you can appreciate that that it is important to safeguard all of our students and their families until further advice can be taken.
I can confirm that all other Year Groups will remain open as usual tomorrow.
Mr Chris Price
